A 98.2% PUNCH

Ah yes, another upset in the history books. Farleigh Dickinson University (FDU) was paradoxically both the odds-on favorite and underdog of this tournament: they shouldn’t have even been in it after losing to Merrimack in the conference tournament final, but due to the latter’s ineligibility for the NCAA Tournament, FDU found themselves competing in the First Four — a lucky break, as it turns out. No surprise then that it was the smallest school (literally in average height) taking down Purdue with its biggest human basketball player. It’s an unexpected result that reminds us just how unpredictable tournaments can be.

To the seven who picked Farliegh Dickinson… YOU CRAZY…
